Antique Art Nouveau Primavera Necklace
Circa 1900 ~ Czech Art Glass ~ Ethereal Flower Goddess
This antique Art Nouveau necklace dates back to circa 1900 and features
an ethereal woman in profile with lushly ornamented hair, serenely
breathing in the scent of some freshly picked flowers, framed in
elegant filigree. The necklace is embellished with sparkling clear
rhinestones (all still present ~ remarkable with a piece of this age!),
topped with a wonderful faceted piece of luminous shadowy pink swirled
art glass, and a dramatically oversized rose pink Czech glass teardrop
pendant with a three dimensional stylized design, flanked on either
side with supple bronze chain fringe for added movement and elegance.
SIZING & CONDITION: It
measures approx. 18 1/2" around, and closes in back with a vintage
lobster claw clasp. Combined, the faceted glass with the Art Nouveau
lady cameo & long rose glass teardrop measures a dramatic 6
1/2" long. The main metal cameo portion measures approx. 2 7/8" tall x
2 1/8" wide. There's minor age-related wear, but it's in exceptionally
lovely condition for its age. While this would be a perfect piece to
add to a collection of antique jewelry, it could certainly also be worn
and enjoyed as well!
