This stunning vintage needlework tapestry features a design by Aubrey Beardsley with a lady in a dramatic leg o'mutton dress with an oversized hat & tucked away parasol :) It was fully entirely embroidered by hand, worked from 100% wool in vibrant crimson red, deep black and pale ivory, with a custom oak frame in coordinating tones of black & crimson. The original paper backing on the reverse was removed & you can choose to either attach some new paper if desired, or simply hang it as is ~ there's a wire on the back already attached for hanging. Measures approximately 21" high by 16" wide ~ a good eye-catching size for adding a dramatic, yet charming aesthetic to any room. Some slight signs of wear here & there as expected due to age, but overall an absolutely gorgeous, lovingly hand-worked piece of true vintage elegance!
